With our parish merger now in motion, some needed changes have been made to align our social media platforms. Our MACH1 Parish Grouping now has a new Facebook name and address to reflect our new reality as the Parish of Mary, Queen of Saints. (for details, click heading)

Please note that there have been duplicate sets of offertory envelopes sent to some of our parishioners. If you received two sets of envelopes, please use the lower numbered envelope and call the parish office at 724.775.6363 ext. 101 so the necessary correction can be made to the database. Thank you to the Christian Mothers and parishioners who provided an abundance of cookies for the events hosted in Msgr. Farri Hall June 18, 19, and 20 including Fr. Cassian’s reception. The volume and variety were deliciously crafted and greatly enjoyed by all who attended. May God bless you for your kindness, generosity, and love!

Much thanks to the Casino Night committee in planning and their subsequent hard work. Also, thank you to all who came to participate in the evening. Additionally, thank you to the St. John the Baptist Christian Mothers who worked so hard to prepare the endless (and delicious) food.

Mourning the loss of someone significant in our lives is a heavy burden. Sometimes the burden seems too heavy to carry, and the opportunity to pray with others who are also grieving is a blessing. For the last five years our parish family has been blessed with the presence and talents of Mary Rita Rossetti, our Director of Music Ministry at St. Frances Cabrini and Our Lady of Fatima. Please join us on Sunday, June 27, 2021 for a reception in O’Connell Hall at 11:30AM to celebrate with Mary Rita her retirement and to express our gratitude for her many contributions to our parish family. As we move forward toward our merger, the parish community of St. John the Baptist will recite the rosary together on Sunday, June 27, 2021 after the 8:00AM Mass. All members of Christian Mothers and the Holy Name Society as well as all parishioners are invited to come together in prayer as we prepare to begin our next chapter as Mary, Queen of Saints Parish.

Every Friday at St. John the Baptist, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. He waits there for you.  May you be deeply blessed from your time in prayer. In addition, all are always welcome to come and adore Him when the church doors are open and your schedule permits.

Our parish sends out congratulations to our 8th graders who recieved the Sacrament of Confirmation on June 15, 2021: Maddix Anderson, Alexandra Bickerstaff, Giovanni Canapele, Mia Dinello, Craig Fisher, Talan Morris, and Ava Sutter. May the Holy Spirit continue to fill your hearts with His love and grace.

An important meeting of Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist from all worship sites in our parish grouping, especially those who take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 6:30PM in the Church of St. Frances Cabrini, Center Township. Cookies may be dropped off on Friday, June 18, 2021 at either the Parish Office from 9:00AM to 1:00PM, or at Monsignor Farri Hall from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. May God bless you for your generosity!
