The Holy Name Society's Annual Memorial Mass and Youth Fellowship Awards Breakfast will be held Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, Beaver. St. John the Baptist Parish youth awardees are: Jacob Marchione and Angelo Dinello.  Tickets are $8. (For details, click heading)

On Monday, November 25, 2019 a Baptismal Preparation Class will be held at St. John the Baptist, 1501 Virginia Ave., Monaca, in the Pastoral Center at 6:30PM.  (For details, click heading)

The Solemnity of All Saints is observed annually on November 1 and honors all those, known and unknown, who eternally enjoy the presence of God in heaven. To view our parish grouping's Mass schedule for this holy day of obligation, click heading.

There will be a second collection on Sunday, November 3, 2019.  It is for the Archdiocese for Military Services, USA.  Your support is appreciated.

For those planning a wedding, our grouping offers diocesan-approved marriage preparations classes twice a year in the Fall and Spring. For further information, click heading.

The books for scheduling Masses, Blessed Sacrament Sanctuary Candles and Blessed Mother Shrine Candles for the 2020 calendar year are officially open. For further information, click heading.

Just a gentle reminder to all of our CCD families that our CCD Thanksgiving Day Project is underway.  Each class has been asked to donate food for St. Vincent de Paul. Your child received a list of what is being requested from each class.  We will begin accepting the items on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Thank you in advance for your kindness!

Though classes for grades K-8 have begun, you can still bring your child(ren) to the St. John the Baptist Parish Pastoral Center after the 8:00AM Mass on Sunday to enroll.  Please call us at 724.775.3940 ext. 4 if you have any questions.

Bible Study will meet on October 30, 2019 at 9:30AM in the Faith Formation Room located in St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center, 1501 Virginia Avenue, Monaca.  We will continue our study of Job, ch. 28-30, using in the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible by Scott Hahn & Curtis Mitch (RSV 2nd Catholic Edition).  Come enjoy a coffee and donut and join in the discussion of our Faith.

The St. John the Baptist Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVdP) is again requesting your help in providing Thanksgiving dinners to the needy in our area. For a list of items needed and details, click heading.

Our parish grouping St. Vincent de Paul Societies, along with Deacon Bob and the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Fatima will be collecting coats, blankets, socks and deodorant.  For details on how to donate, click heading.

On Saturday evening, November 2, 2019, remember to turn your clocks back one hour as well as check the batteries in your smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors.  Enjoy that extra sixty minutes.

Come and get them! Christian Mothers are serving up an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Buffet of pancakes, eggs and sausage on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 8:30AM to 12:30PM in Msgr. Farri Hall.  Everyone is invited to enjoy delicious food and great fellowship.  Donations will be gratefully accepted.  Hope to see you there! 

Bible Study will meet on will meet on October 23, 2019 at 9:30AM in the Faith Formation room located in St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center, Monaca, PA.  We will watch a DVD entitled “Paul”.  The DVD presentation is from Steve Ray’s “The Footprints of God: The Story of Salvation From Abraham to Augustine. All were filmed on location. Everyone is welcome.​​​​​​​

Would you please provide the parish with your email address?  Our parish would like to begin emailing the weekly bulletin as well as other notices about activities and events to parishioners with active email addresses.  Please send your email address to [email protected] so that we can add it to your census information.  In doing this, it will help improve parish community communications.  Rest assured your email address will only be used for parish purposes.  It will not be sold or disseminated to any other organizations.

All are welcome to our parish grouping’s monthly Youth Mass Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 6:00PM in the Church of St. Frances Cabrini, Center Township.  Join in for praise and worship with contemporary music.  A youth group meeting, with refreshments, follows in O’Connell Hall until 8:00PM.​​​​​​​
