Supporting Our Military with Christmas Cards

All parishioners in our MACH1 Parish Grouping are again asked to consider sending Christmas cards this year via Operation Christmas Cards 4 Troops Overseas to soldiers who will not be home to celebrate the Christmas season with family and friends.  Our campaign last year was a tremendous success and your support this year would be greatly appreciated!  Please feel free to sign one or or more Christmas cards; writing a special message to the soldier in addition is optional.  If doing so, please keep your written sentiments and wishes simple.  The inside of individual cards should be addressed "To Any Service Member" and signed by sender.  A store bought card should have an envelope.  Please seal the signed card in the envelope and drop your it in the special mailbox found at the entrance of your parish church from Thursday, November 1, 2019 thru Sunday, December 1, 2019.  A hand-made card does not need an envelope.  Please do not use glitter on any of the cards.  Keep in mind, only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul; and the other, died for your freedom.  God bless you and your family.  -- Marian DeSantis, Project Coordinator
