The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a very important holy day in the Church calendar that "recalls the spiritual and physical departure of the mother of Jesus Christ from the earth, when both her soul and her body were taken into the presence of God."
Because of COVID-19 as well as the fact that this particular holy day falls on a Saturday this year, the obligation to attend Mass is lifted. However, for those still wishing to observe this Marian solemnity in a special way, access to viewing the Mass from St. Paul Seminary will be available on our Holy Day Mass page.
