It has been reported that the United States Supreme Court is preparing to vote on and potentially overturn the court’s previous decision on Roe vs. Wade. This would be a step forward in the fight for the sanctity of human life. Apparently this question is on the minds of the Supreme Court justices who need our prayers. This is an important moment for our country. It will require wisdom and courage for the justices who may be making desicions concerning the sacredness of human life.
As the U.S. Supreme Court deliberates, the spiritual dimension of this matter should not to be overlooked. It is for this reason that we need to open our spiritual gardening shed and select the item most suited for this work—namely, the most holy rosary. Our Lady has given to the 'Children of Light' a fine and powerful tool in the rosary. This simple series of prayers has aided in the bearing of great amounts of untold fruits in the world throughout the centuries.
In this month of May we have images of the Blessed Virgin Mary prominently placed and decorated in each of the churches of our parish. Slips of paper and a basket can be found close to each statue. Please note that each slip of paper is meant to represent one ‘prayed’ rosary. When you've prayerfully recited a rosary for this important intention, please drop one slip of paper into the nearby basket. If you desire, you may write on the slip a thought from your heart, a short prayer, a special intention, or just leave it blank. No one has been assigned to read these notes. What is written is for the Holy Mother alone. These slips of paper are to be a spiritual bouquet for our Lady. Let's put forth every effort to make them huge and beautiful!
You are invited to join in the following evenings set aside to pray together the most holy rosary in support of the sanctity of life on:
