A few years ago St. Titus Church had a severe roof leak which damaged a couple of the sconces on the upper walls surrounding the interior of the nave. With the sconces being over thirty years old, an effort was made to find something nearest to the same design. What was found was close, but obviously didn’t match. We now have six new matching sconces that beautifully enhance the interior of the Church of St. Titus. The general fund covered the cost of this $14,000 project completed by Trinity Restoration.
We will soon enter into a contract with Tudi Mechanical to do a complete upgrade to the lighting in Our Lady of Fatima Church. As you may have noticed the interior lighting has been in need of attention. Finding replacement bulbs has become virtually impossible. A presentation was made to the MQS Parish Finance Council. Upon its approval, we had to obtain approval from the Diocese to move forward with the project. With that approval, we will meet soon with the project managers from Tudi Mechanical to finalize details. The project should begin shortly thereafter. The cost of this project is estimated at $99,500.00. It includes a complete overhaul of all the lighting fixtures in the church. This project will be paid with reserve funds.
