Email Scam Warning from Fr. Jean-Luc

Blessed and Happy New Year.

Back in August and September, there was an email scam where the sender sent emails claiming to be me, asking staff members and parishioners for iTunes gift cards. Now it’s happening again, and it seems that the sender has a longer list of emails of parishioners. These emails that are asking parishioners for gift cards or financial assistance are not coming from me. Please do not reply to or engage with the sender.

It seems that the best way to handle these emails is to ignore them. When this happened in the fall, it died down fairly quickly. Hopefully, it will this time, too.
