All women of the parish, please consider joining our very active Christian Mothers Confraternity at Mary, Queen of Saints. We are a prayer group, first and foremost; however, we do so much more for our parish family. To answer the often asked question: "What do the Christian Mothers do?", some of our activities this past year were:
recognizing our parish's First Holy Communion recipients with keepsake gifts
helping to host receptions for Confirmation students and their families
aiding in the reception for Bishop Waltershied after the blessing of the Adoration Chapel
preparing celebratory receptions for Fr. Barnabas O'Reilly, OSB and Fr. David Schmidt
providing Bounce Houses for the MQS Parish Picnic and Winter Carnival
baking for various fundraisers, and so much more...
Throughout the year we participate in various efforts, including rosary walks, diaper drives for Right to Life Month, and Masses in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows and for our deceased Christian Mothers. We are a prayer chain for your personal cares and concerns, always willing to pray together for our parish families.
Our MQSP Christian Mothers will be installing new members on March 5, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Church during the 11:30AM Mass. If you are interested in joining, please contact Chris Starcher (724.728.5070). She will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
