We are pleased to announce that Automated External Defibrillator (AED) installations have been made at all four churches, parish halls, and Our Lady of Fatima School. An AED is a portable device that can detect life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia, such as ventricular fibrillation and pulse-less ventricular tachycardia, and provide a controlled electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm. Designed with simple audio and visual instructions, AEDs are easy to use, even for those without medical training. This addition helps ensure a safer environment for our parish community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Janice Poletti and Susan Leininger for their dedication and collaboration with our parish business manager in bringing this lifesaving resource to our parish. The AED stations are located in the following places:
St. John the Baptist
Church - inside the bathroom in the church
Msgr. Farri Hall - on the back wall, heading towards the gym
St. Titus
Church - in the Sheffield Ave. vestibule
Titan Hall - by the tunnel entrance
St. Frances Cabrini
Church - in the main entrance vestibule
Fr. O’Connell Hall - near the bar area
Our Lady of Fatima
Church - Usher’s Room
Kohler Hall - next to entrance from the church parking lot
School - near school receptionist’s office
To ensure our community is prepared in an emergency, we will be hosting an informational session shortly on how to use the AED. We encourage all ushers, healthcare professionals, and parishioners to attend. Watch for more details in an upcoming bulletin.
