Welcome to EDGE Middle School Youth Group! Our youth group is open for grades 6, 7 and 8 — whether you're in Catholic school, public school or home schooled! You don't have to be part of our parish; this is a welcome place for any and all youth!
SOCIAL NIGHTS
This year, our EDGE program will have a Social Night once a month, on either a Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. We are rotating due to fairness with boys/girls sports. Please reach out with any questions on the social nights!
TEACHING NIGHTS
EDGE meets once a month, on a given Sunday, for a teaching night. Unless otherwise noted, our events are held at St. Frances Cabrini, O'Connell Hall, from 6-8 PM.
NEXT TEACHING NIGHT: Sunday, October 13 | 6-8 PM
Topic: Emotions
RSVP for the October Teaching Night!
To join us, we are asking that you register your student, listing their grade. We are asking that all students register for each event at a time, due to small group numbers and snack purchasing. We will not be feeding children dinner during these events, but we will have snacks and water.
As mentioned during our previous meeting, we have a big volunteer event coming up in the parish: Amen-To-Action!
On Saturday, November 16, join other parishioners in volunteering for Amen-To-Action! Volunteering begins at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to end at 12 p.m. (Noon). The location is Our Lady of Fatima Gym.
Our goal will be to package 75,000 meals that will be distributed throughout Beaver County by the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB).
If you cannot stay the whole time, please let YM Rachael know ahead of time. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
We use the EDGE Model, a product of LifeTeen (TM). EDGE is a middle school-based guide to help our students apply Scripture and lessons from Jesus Christ in our everyday situations — whether it's stress, handling bullying and more.
We will have students vote on the topics.
Topics include: Body Image, Bullying, Death, Eucharistic Importance, Gossip, Confession, Holy Humor, Intercessory Prayer, Social Media, St. Joseph, Stress, Confirmation, What is a Sacrament, What is the Bible and What is Virtue.
We will meet at St. Frances Cabrini, O'Connell Hall.
To enter O'Connell Hall, please use the doors with the ramp, facing the parking lot.
