In the Gospel, Jesus is the model of compassion and mercy, teaching us to be generous and nonjudgmental. When we give to the poor, God fills our hearts and the hearts of those in need with His love and peace. Thanks to the generosity of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, and through the work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, we provided hope and financial assistance to 1,559 families in 2024:
- Rental Assistance: $13,629
- Utilities: $35,769
- Food: $17,428
- Furniture Ministry: 102 families assisted at no cost, thanks to community donations
One recent example of our mission in action - A young couple with a newborn had their water shut off. The mother, a stay-at-home mom working toward her degree, and the father, recently returning to work after unemployment, had fallen behind on bills. Thanks to your support, we were able to restore their water. Overwhelmed with gratitude, the mother shared, “I am so thankful to be able to give my baby a warm bath.”
Our calling is to serve those in need, witnessing Christ’s love through action. Will you join us?
“Go to the poor; you will find God.”
