Lent is not a call to just 'give up something',...but rather to 'give something to the poor'. Wherever you live in the parish, know that there are poor families within walking distance of your home. When in need, they often ring the rectory doorbell. They are, in effect, ringing your doorbell. Your almsgiving dropped in the St. VIncent de Paul Poor Box will help the poor to celebrate the grace of God's love this Easter.
SVdP Help Line If you need help or are referring others for assistance, please call the St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Help Line at 724.252.4631. This number is the same for all four SVdP Teams in our MACH 1 Parish Grouping. The phone will ring about 5 to 6 times and then go into a voice mailbox. The voicemails will be routed to the respective SVdP Team based on geography/school district. Callers will be contacted promptly.
