Tuesday, November 1, 2022 marks not only the holy day of All Saints Day, but it is also your day to experience two inspiring sacred spaces located in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Yes, Pittsburgh!
Saint Anthony Chapel: Tucked away atop Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill, the chapel is home to the world’s largest collection of Christian relics in the world, outside of the Vatican, including life-size statues depicting our Lord’s Passion as represented via the Stations of the Cross. Mass will be offered by Fr. Jean-Luc. A private one-hour guided group tour and lunch will be included.
Maxo Vanka’s Murals at St. Nicholas Church, Millvale: Created during the Great Depression and World War II, Croatian immigrant artist Maxo Vanka painted works covering the walls and ceiling of the sanctuary to reflect the lived experiences of the church’s working-class parishioners as well as timeless themes of struggle, sacrifice, faith, and hope. Those attending will have a private one-hour guided group tour.
The bus will depart via from Our Lady of Fatima Church parking lot at 8:45AM and return at 4:00PM. The cost is $49 per person.
