Home Blessing Kit

In honor of a beautiful tradition, you will see that in each church of our parish a basket of envelopes that each contain a small amount of incense, a piece of chalk and a prayer sheet for you to take home and use to bless your home. This would be a wonderful activity to carry our with family and/or friends.

The incense represents the gifts the Magi gave to Jesus, the Infant King.  If you do not have charcoal to light in order to burn the incense, you could place an aluminum pie pan on a lit stove burner and let it get warm.  Once heated, turn off the burner and place the incense in the pan.  (Be careful not to burn yourself or anyone near you.)
