Ecumenical Lenten Luncheon

Prior to the COVID pandemic, the Christian churches in Monaca would gather on the Wednesdays of Lent for a Lenten Luncheon.  Each year one of the churches would act as the ‘host’ church while the other churches provided the luncheon and Lenten reflection.  Throughout Lent 2023, the First Presbyterian Church, located at 1301 Indiana Avenue, Monaca will be the host church.  There is an elevator for the handicap at the entrance to the hall located on the 13th Street side of the church.

St. John the Baptist Church is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, 2023 to provide the food and speaker.  The luncheon gathering will begin at 12noon.  SJB 50+Friends group will provide the meal.  Fr. Please consider spending a few hours with our Christian neighbors to reflect on the sacrifice that our Lord made for us by dying on the cross for our sins.
