Celebrate the Epiphany

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord. In honor of this beautiful feast, envelopes are at the baptismal font, filled with a small amount of incense, a piece of chalk and three gold beads along with a prayer for you to take home and bless your home with your family. The incense and three gold beads represent the Magi and their gifts given to Mary and Joseph for the Infant King, Jesus the Messiah.

(If you do not have charcoal to light the incense, try lining a handled pan with an aluminum pie pan and place it carefully on a lit stove burner; warm it, then turn off the burner; place the incense in the lined pan.)
