The monstrance tabernacle ordered especially for our parish’s Blessed Carlo Acutis Adoration Chapel has finally arrived. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 6:15PM, a pre-Mass talk will be given in the Church of Our Lady of Fatima regarding the adoration chapel, and then lead into the celebration of Mass at 6:30PM. This Mass of Thanksgiving will be followed by a Eucharistic Procession to the adoration chapel, where Benediction will take place. (Please note that due to this special occasion, the Mass normally scheduled for 8:30AM on Wednesdays will be replaced by this 6:30PM Mass on this particular day.)
How appropriate that May 31st, the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is the day when this special tabernacle will be put into service! Just as Mary carried Jesus in her womb to the house of her cousin Elizabeth, where the yet-to-be-born John the Baptist leapt for joy in the womb in response to the proximity of the Savior, the events of this day have much in common with those of long ago. We, too, should find ourselves leaping like John as the Blessed Sacrament is carried to a holy house where the Savior and we shall meet, and with joyfulness, we find ourselves adoring Him in His True and Real Presence.
Thanks to Dave Shaffer for building the monstrance tabernacle for the Blessed Carlo Acutis Adoration Chapel at Our Lady of Fatima.
