Easter Week Masses; Thanks & Congrats; Ordination
4/17/22
Dear Parish Family,
Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!
Easter Week Masses
Blessed and happy Easter to you and your family. For us as a Catholics, Easter is not contained to a single day, but in a sense it is Easter Day for an entire eight days. Please come and celebrate Christ our Lord’s victory over death each day of this week.
Gratitude & Congratulations
Thank you to our decorating teams, musicians, ushers, and liturgical ministers for helping to make our liturgies of the Paschal Triduum beautiful and prayerful.
We also thank Brother Barnabas and the RCIA team for helping to prepare our neophytes and newly-received for their sacraments at the Easter Vigil. On Holy Saturday Night, we welcomed into the Church new members of Christ’s Mystical Body:
Congratulations and we are overjoyed to have you in our midst now as fully-initiated Catholics!
Upcoming Priestly Ordination of Br. Barnabas
Brother Barnabas’ ordination to the priesthood has been set for Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00AM in the archabbey basilica at Saint Vincent. Brother Barnabas would like to extend an invitation to all of our parishioners to his ordination. We would like to take a bus from our parish to the abbey. If you would like to attend, please call 724.775.3940 to reserve your space. Please meet us in the upper parking lot at SFC (where you may park your car for the day) at 7:15AM. We will stop at Rizzo’s Italian Restaurant in Crabtree for an early dinner on the way home. The cost for the bus and lunch is $75 per person.
Father Barnabas will return to our parish for Masses of Thanksgiving in our four churches:
There will be a reception to follow each Mass in our church halls where Father Barnabas will impart to you his first priestly blessing. Let us pray for Brother Barnabas as he prepares for his ordination.
In the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Fr. Jean-Luc
