God’s Eternal Love for Us

To All MQS Parisioners,

At first glance, our gospel reading this Sunday may feel very challenging and difficult to understand. However, we must always remember to read these difficult passages in the context of God’s eternal love for us.  Perhaps Pope  Benedict XVI described this type of love the best when he said “If you follow the will of God, you will know that in spite of all the terrible things that happen to you, you will never lose a final refuge. You know that the foundation of the world is love, so that even when no human being can or will help you, you may go on, trusting in the One that loves you.”  My brothers and sisters in Christ, never lose hope or give into earthly despair.  Never forget that we have a God Who loves you with an infinite love.
