Dear Parishioners,
The Diocese of Pittsburgh has recently updated their corona virus guidelines. You can review them at: https://diopitt.org/news/diocese-of-pittbsurgh-announces-updated-covid-19-safety-protocols
In light of the new guidelines, we are delaying some of our parish events. At present, note the following:
- Merchandise Bingo — January’s Merchandise is cancelled
- Fifty and Up Social Groups — consult with your group leadership
- Winter Carnival — is being pushed back to April 22-24. Please note that the tickets and mailings for the Winter Carnival have already been printed with the original dates. The cost to reprint everything would be far too expensive. Make special note that the new dates for this event are April 22, 23, & 24, 2022.
- The Evening with the Culture Project — is being pushed back to Tuesday, March 29, 2022
- Adult Faith Formation on Saturday, January 22nd — will go on as scheduled, but with new seating arrangements that will be explained when you arrive.
- Parish Choirs — are still happening. Your director will give you any necessary information regarding adjustments
- Boy Scouts and Pine Box Derby — are still happening. Mr. Yeager will have any needed information for you
As for other events, please consult with your group leadership regarding any adjustments. Leaders of parish organizations in which you may be involved will inform you of any adjustments.
We will hold Eucharistic Holy Hours in each church for the spiritual health of our parish family. These Holy Hours will take place, as follows:
- Monday, January 17, 2022 7:00PM — St. Frances Cabrini (SFC)
- Tuesday, January 18, 2022 7:00PM — St. Titus (ST)
- Wednesday, January 19, 2022 7:00PM — St. John the Baptist (SJB)
- Thursday, January 20, 2022 7:00PM — Our Lady of Fatima (OLF)
We will also hold a Eucharistic Holy Hour for Life on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima (OLF) at 7 PM.
Finally, Fr. Canice, Fr. Joachim and I would like to thank you for your great kindness to us at Christmas. The cards, gifts, cookies, cakes, foods, and bottles were beautiful and very much appreciated! Thank you all!
In the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Fr. Jean-Luc
