Immaculate Conception of the BVM
The Solemnity of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, normally celebrated each year on December 8th, transfers in 2024 from Sunday to Monday, along with the holy day obligation to attend Mass. The holy day Mass schedule for our parish will be as follows:
- 7:00AM — St. Titus
- 8:30AM — Our Lady of Fatima
- 12:10PM — St. Frances Cabrini
- 6:30PM — St. John the Baptist

As we prepare for His coming during this season of Advent, the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession will be available within a Penance Service to be offered on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 6:30PM in the Church of St. Frances Cabrini, Center Township.
As a 'communal' penance service, please arrive on time for this service that consists of prayer, scripture reading, a homily and a common Act of Contrition in preparation for individual confession. (Penitents will have the opportunity of going to confession face-to-face or anonymously.)

Rorate Caeli MassA Votive Mass in Honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be offered on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 6:30AM in the Church of St. Titus, Aliquippa.
Rorate Caeli is Latin and the first words of an Introit or entrance antiphon based on Isaiah 45:8.
“Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum, aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem.”
In English, this translates to: “Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened and bud forth a Savior.”
A Rorate Caeli Mass is celebrated in Advent, prior to dawn, as a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Mass is only lit by candles, representing Mary’s role in bringing the 'Light of Life’ into the darkness of the world.
(Please note that there will be no 8:30AM Mass on this day. However, the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession will still be offered at 9:00AM.)
